At the end of the 13th century, the Mongol empire destroyed entire nations in its campaign to conquer the East. Tsushima Island is all that separates Japan from a massive invading Mongol fleet led by the cunning and ruthless general Khotun Khan.
With the island burning after the first Mongol onslaught, samurai Jin Sakai prevails as one of the last members of his clan. He is determined to do anything, at any cost, to protect his people and save his land. He will have to renounce the traditions that shaped him as a warrior to forge a new path, the path of the ghost, and wage an uncharacteristic war for Tsushima's freedom.
