The Kingdom of Myrtana was invaded by a relentless horde of orcs. King Rhobar II, needing large quantities of magic ore to forge powerful weapons, puts the mines of Khorinis to work with all available prisoners. To prevent escapes, the monarch asks his best mages to create a magical barrier.

But something goes terribly wrong. The magic gets out of control and a revolt turns the mines into a wild territory, now dominated by the most violent prisoners. The king is forced to negotiate with the new lords of the mines, while the tension between the different factions rises every day.

What no one expects is that the arrival of a mysterious prisoner will change everything completely.
